What if the bowl you're holding once carried someone's dinner, a hundred years ago?

Become an archaeologist for a day, in the heart of old Seoul.

Somewhere beneath the streets of Seoul, the city remembers. A bowl. A spoon. A table set for a meal that happened over a century ago. In this hands-on experience, you won't just see history. You'll touch it, clean it, and tell its story. With your own hands, carefully restore real tableware unearthed from 1900s Seoul, and feel what it means to be the first person to truly see an object in decades.

After the exhibition, you’ll continue the story in your own way.

Participants will reinterpret the artifacts in their own way—by “selling” them through Instagram Stories. Create a narrative, imagine its past owner, or give it a completely new meaning. The most creative interpretations will be shared, and selected participants will receive rewards upon uploading their reels or stories.

In addition, applicants are required to submit a photo of a ceramic item they currently use, along with a personal story behind it.

The collected photos and stories will be presented in a separate exhibition scheduled for June–July.

옛 서울의 중심에서, 하루 동안 고고학자가 되어보세요.

서울의 거리 어딘가 깊은 곳에는 여전히 시간이 쌓여 있습니다. 그릇 하나, 숟가락 하나, 그리고 백 년이 넘은 어느 날의 식탁.

이 프로그램에서 여러분은 단순히 역사를 ‘보는 것’에 머물지 않습니다. 직접 만지고, 닦고, 그 안에 담긴 이야기를 상상하게 됩니다.

1900년대 서울에서 발굴된 실제 식기를 손으로 복원하며, 오랜 시간 잠들어 있던 물건을 처음으로 마주하는 순간을 경험해보세요.

이제, 당신의 방식으로 이 이야기를 이어볼 차례입니다.

전시 관람 이후, 참여자들은 유물을 각자의 방식으로 재해석해 ‘판매하는’ 콘셉트의 인스타그램 스토리를 업로드하게 됩니다.

유물에 새로운 서사를 입히거나, 상상 속 주인을 만들어보는 등 자신만의 방식으로 이야기를 확장해보세요. 우수 콘텐츠에는 리워드도 제공될 예정입니다.

또한 프로그램 신청 시, 현재 사용하고 있는 도자기 사진과 그 도자기에 얽힌 개인적인 이야기를 함께 제출해 주세요.

모인 사진과 이야기는 오는 6–7월, 별도의 전시를 통해 다시 소개될 예정입니다.
